Sweetest Heart of Mary Church
The Sweetest Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church is located in the Forest Park neighborhood on Detroit's central East side. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It, along with St. Albertus Roman Catholic Church and St. Josaphat Roman Catholic Church, served the large Polish community through most of the twentieth century. The Sanctuary holds an impressive 2000 people and is USDA compliant. There is limited parking available in a small attached lot with ample street parking available.
