DCC members were also thrilled to serve as backup singers for Josh Groban’s 2026 tour, featuring special guest Jennifer Hudson, at Little Caesars Arena, and for Sarah Brightman’s 2018 Hymn World Tour at the Fox Theatre. Previous performances have included Verdi’s Requiem with the Oakland Symphony Orchestra and Oakland University Symphony Chorus; appearances at Detroit’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Campus Martius; participation in the Michigan Parkinson Foundation Metro Detroit Walk and the Outreach International Benefit Concert fundraiser to provide assistance to low income families. The Detroit Concert Choir also regularly collaborates with high school choirs, student dancers, and emerging instrumentalists, enriching its performances while helping to foster the next generation of artists. We are proud to serve as Creative Partners with The Schaap Center in Grosse Pointe Park, which celebrated its Grand Opening in May 2026. The Center’s vision is to become a premier gathering place for the appreciation of the arts, community engagement, and regional cultural enrichment by providing education, opportunity, and access for all.
