Detroit Concert Choir
2026-27 Performance Attire
Updated July 2026

Detroit Concert Choir attire is Professional Concert Black—solid black from head to toe in a dressy, stage-appropriate style. Each member is responsible for acquiring their own concert attire.

When choosing your concert outfit, aim for:
Professionalism | Clothing should look intentional and stage-appropriate.
Cohesion |  Outfits should create a unified appearance across the ensemble.
Polish |  Garments should be clean, wrinkle-free, well-fitted, and in excellent condition.
Modern Elegance | Dressy without being flashy or overly casual.

Every choir member is REQUIRED to use a black folder. We recommend musicfolder.com for a high quality and light weight folder. To view their folder options, CLICK HERE.

Please direct any questions regarding concert attire to Chrissy Rouce or Dr. Mitchell at dcc@detroitconcertchoir.org.

  • No casual black pants or shorter than ankle-length skirt.
  • No short-sleeved, off-the-shoulder styles, patterns, lace, tight-fitting or cropped tops, plunging necklines, embellishments or large decorative buttons, shiny or sparkly fabrics, sheer materials, velvet, leather, or faded or wrinkled garments.
