Deborah VanderLinde, Ph.D., is Professor Emerita, Music Education, at Oakland University. After teaching K-12 music in the Port Huron schools, she became a professor of Music Education at Oakland University.Deborah taught coursework and mentored undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers as music teachers. Working with doctoral students at the end of her 20 year OU career has been particularly rewarding. A lifelong chorister and church/school choir director, Deb has sung continuously in both local and international choirs including the Kalamazoo Bach Festival, Berkshire Choral Festival, and since 2019, the Detroit Concert Choir.
