Just Sing!

fall message from Dr Mitchell

Hello friends, we hope you and your families are well.

During this time, the human spirit is being tested like no other time in recent memory. Our thoughts are with you and we're pleased to give you the gift of hope and joy by inviting you to join us as we launch our virtual season—a series of digital choral recordings and pop-up concerts featuring small groups of singers in large spaces. How can you enjoy our music anytime, anywhere? By following us on Facebook and Instagram, or subscribing to our YouTube channel, click on the subscribe bell bell after you subscribe to get notifications as we launch new music and never miss a performance! However you watch and listen, if you enjoy our concerts, please like and share with friends.

We're thrilled to premiere a new arrangement from our artistic director, Dr. Micheal Mitchell, of the classic carol Silent Night as our second virtual choir project.

"It was an honor to compose a new version of this beloved piece for the DCC and for you, our audience," Dr. Mitchell. Enjoy!

What's next?
Stay tuned for more Chorale Christmas Magic including the 12 Days of Christmas series, showcasing the talents of DCC's past and present singers. Beginning December 14th, DCC singers invite you into their homes through Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to hear fresh performances and classic video clips from our cherished archives.

We're also thrilled to share we've been invited to participate in a consortium of local choirs presenting Virtual Holiday, a full Christmas concert, over social media. Choirs participating in this delightful project include Wayne State, Northville High School, The Langsford Men's Chorus, The Cantata Academy Chorale, and the Vanguard Voices. Keep an eye out for this online and an ear out for it on WRCJ 90.9FM, Detroit's classical radio station.

Thank you for supporting the Detroit Concert Choir. Stay safe, stay well.
